Want To Get In Shape? Watch Another Infomercial!

You know I have always wondered how people of yesteryear, like Eugene sandow, John Grimek, Steve reeves, Jack Lalanne, Joe Louis, Charle Atlas, and many others that i could mention could possibly get into such fantastic shape without all these gadgets, gizmos, and late night exercise machines being touted all over your favorite TV stations.

I mean let’s look at what is happening here! You have got Ab dolly, Ab rocker, Ab lounge, Abwheel, Ab-this-Ab-that, and I am not saying that they may not give some results but let’s face it if any one of these was a “cure all” why do they have to keep coming out with more??????? And why do people keep buying the latest and greatest thing? Well i will tell you?

SALES AND MARKETING! These infomercials have it down to a science. You will notice all the hard bodies that promote all these gadgets and here you are back home watching from your tv saying that if I buy this i can look like him/her and this will solve all my problems right? Wrong!!! First of all how do you know the people that you are looking at on tv actually got all their results from the product that there promoting? You Don’t.

The 5 Keys To A HIGHLY EFFECTIVE Golf Pre Shot Routine You Can Learn Immediately

What I’m about to disclose to you in this article is an easy to follow, ‘Step-By-Step’ formula to having a highly effective pre shot routine. Every golfer knows that this is a key element of their golf swing that must be executed effectively.

I know from experience that without one you will never become that quality player you dream of being. Take my advice; it will make a world of difference in your confidence and your scores. So let’s jump into it and get you that powerful pre shot routine you’ve always wanted.

Step #1
The first thing you should do is take a step back and line yourself up behind the ball looking towards the hole. Then we need you to take a deep breath and focus. You have to try and envision the shot you want to play from that position. Give yourself a mental picture of what you want to happen. This is critical to the success of any shot. If you don’t know what to do in your mind you can’t physically execute what you want.

Buy Stair Lifts Online

Stair lifts ? all sorts

No stair lifts and 18 years of full time caring of my disabled sweetheart (she died Sept 2004) I can barely walk because of serious arm and back pain. Had I taken more time and good advise from folks around me I’d be in much better condition today for sure.

Years ago when all this started I couldn’t afford the various devices that were available. I wish I could’ve had a stair lift and medical equipment support for transporting and lifting along with proper training. Shopping for these items and buying online now days is easy.

Medicare didn’t and still in most cases doesn’t help much financially and the H.M.O’s don’t seem too interested in helping either. I felt as though their mission was to get rid of me and not spend any money. Nevertheless, today you can purchase all sorts of products for the disabled including wheelchairs, electric, manual, curved, handicapped home lifting equipment.

Moving around the home has never been easier with stair glide lifts. You’re even shown on website’s how to measure a person, so ordering the right size is no mishap.

Myrtle Beach Golf Packages - What to Know Before You Go

There is a lot of money in the Myrtle Beach golf package market. Unfortunately, like any other opportunity, this can bring out scam artists and bad business practices.

Don’t get stuck with hidden charges on your golf packages. Myrtle Beach discount golf package resellers don’t always have your best interest in mind. Here are five things to be aware of before booking your next golf package to Myrtle Beach.

The first two items come in the form of hidden fees. Myrtle Beach is getting a bad reputation among visiting golfers because of these hidden fees and surcharges. This was one of the biggest complaints noted in a recent local newspaper’s article.

1) Cart Fees ? The golf courses require them. Most golf packages leave them out. Hidden golf cart fees top the list of complaints for most golfers visiting the Grand Strand. Many Myrtle Beach golf package resellers keep the $20 or $30 dollars and pass along the fees to vacationing golfers. Ask up front whether or not cart fees are included. If not, demand it or do your business elsewhere.

Exercise The Right Way - The Wrist Curl

Other articles in this series looked at a number of exercises, mainly from the perspective of developing a comprehensive muscle building program. Sometimes we take things for granted, especially when it comes to performing the basic exercises that constitute the core of most bodybuilders’ training regimes.

It is useful, therefore, to describe in detail the processes involved in actually doing these exercises. This will help beginners to start out using the correct techniques before moving on to potentially more dangerous heavy weights. If it also helps more experienced lifters to redress some of the little faults that have almost imperceptibly crept in over the years, all the better.

In this article we’ll take a close look at the wrist curl.

MUSCLES TARGETED: flexor carpi radialis, flexor carpi ulnaris

STARTING POSITION

Sit on the edge of a bench.
Grasp the bar with a closed supinated grip at a width of roughly 8 to 12 inches.
Position the feet and legs parallel to each other with the toes pointing straight ahead.
Lean forward placing the forearms and elbows on the thighs.
Move the wrists forward until they extend just beyond the patellae.
Allow the wrists to extend and the hands to open so that it is only the fingertips holding the bar.

Historical References to W.E. Fairbairn, E.A. Sykes AND Dermot Pat ONeill

FROM THE BOOK: “PIERCING THE REICH”
AUTHOR: JOSEPH E. PERSICO

They learned the art of silent killing, perfected by W.E. Fairbairn, the legendary British Major, sometimes known as “Delicate Dan.” Knife strokes taught, should be upward, from the testicles to the chin. The hand in a “tiger claw” position was most effective for gouging out eyes. A single sheet of newspaper, they learned, could become a crude dagger. Fold the paper to approximately six inches by two inches. Then fold it diagonally to form a sharp point at one end. Drive the pointed end hard into the stomach or under the jaw, just behind the chin.

FROM THE BOOK: “BEHIND JAPANESE LINES”
AUTHOR: RICHARD DUNLOP

British Major Dan Fairbairn, who had been chief of police in Shanghai before the Japanese capture of the city, taught the Fairbairn method of assault and murder. His course was not restricted to Camp X but later given at OSS camps in the United States. All of us who were taught by Major Fairbairn soon realized that he had an honest dislike for anything that smacked of decency in fighting.

Attention, Ladies!

Building those impressively sleek shoulders takes a great deal of raw grind but once you sport a shapely set, you’ll quickly be separated from the rest. If you like to wear bikinis or summer dresses that reveal your upper torso, shoulder training is ideal in sporting a sexy physique.

Here are some toning exercises designed to shape those delts:

ALTERNATING DUMBBELL RAISES: Standing straight with your feet shoulder-width apart, take a pair of dumbbells into your hands and hold them down at your sides. Make sure that the dumbbells are of a manageable weight. Bending your knees slightly, slowly raise one arm, twisting it so that your palm is facing down. Stop when your arm is straight out in front of you (at shoulder level) so that it forms a right angle with your torso. Squeeze your deltoid muscles before slowly bringing the weight back down to your side. Meanwhile, your opposite arm should be rising just as the other one drops. Repeat the alternating motion for 12-15 reps on each arm. Try 3 sets of this.

A Cardio Snobs Workout

As I peruse the pages of various holiday issues of my favorite fitness/womens magazines I notice many articles about the benefits of practicing yoga at this stressful time of year. At the risk of sounding like a cardio snob, if I have 30 minutes a day (if I’m lucky) and i have to get into a special outfit in about a month and a half. I am not spending that 30 minutes taking cleansing breaths and stretching.

Don’t get me wrong, if you exercise regulary year round you can absolutely benefit from a yoga class 1 maybe 2 times a week. However, if you are now just starting a routine in hopes of fitting into a size 8, then mama get ready to sweat. Here is the routine I recommend.

Pick 3 (or at least 2) cardio activities to save you from burnout (see list below).

Perform 1 of these activities at least 30 minutes (45 or 60 minutes if your schedule allows) 4 times a week. This should include a 3-5 min warmup and 3-5 min cool down (you can stretch while you wait in the deli line).

Gifts: Giving To The Beginner Golfer

It’s golf season again! And you might be looking for a gift to give to someone who’s just starting off in golf. So, here are some suggestions. These beginner golf gifts target those new golf souls… the ones who don’t yet know what their in for, or the ones who are already hooked after just playing a few times.

Golf Lessons

The single best choice out of all gifts for the golf beginner is golf lessons. There’s nothing that the beginning golfer can use more. It’s even better than a set of clubs, because it will give him/her a chance to really decide if he/she likes the game and wants to stick with it. After all, golf can be extremely frustrating, but it’s also highly addictive. Start them off right with a lesson and give them a good swing foundation. Contact your local golf course or instruction facility to find out what options you have in your area.

How is Commercial Fitness Equipment better than General Fitness Equipment?

Commercial gym equipment is used in "commercial gyms" and training centers. Commercial gym equipment is ‘heavy duty’ and can take a lot more weight and usage compared to general gym equipment used in private homes.

Commercial gym equipment is quite a bit more expensive as well due to the ‘heavy duty’ aspect of the materials used. In some parts of the world, it’s actually illegal to use general home-style gym equipment in commercial businesses set up such as gyms, and personal training studios.

Some examples of commercial gym equipment found in gyms and personal training centers are equipment like Smith Squat machines, leg presses, bench press machines, chin-up machines, leg-extension machines?. just to mention a couple!!

Some commercial gym equipment may have many more features than the general home gym equipment; it’s longer lasting, and can take a lot more weight loaded onto it. It’s definitely more expensive?but at the end of the day you only get what you pay for.

If you’re thinking of getting commercial gym equipment for your home gym, make sure you think you are going to get the use from it. On the whole, commercial gym equipment is still the best value for money and you will less likely have problems with it.
